ePortfolio Requirements

Purpose:  To create a professional portfolio to prepare for employment as a Developer

Platform Requirements

1.  Must be on the Internet

2.  Must be updated each semester.

3.  Suggested Platforms: LinkedIn, Wordpress, Wix, Weebly, Google Sites

4.  Portfolio requirements are shown below in boldface:

Personal Information that should be included

• Name *
• Address
• Phone
• Email * (only required if the site doesn't have email)
• Personal Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.
• Personal Blogging Sites
• Hobbies and Interests
• Awards

* items in bold are required

Professional Information

• Professional Networking; LinkedIn, StackOverflow, CodeProject, GitHub, etc. *
  • For GitHub, you should include the following information: 
• Repository or Project Name *
• Description/Purpose *
• Date Created *
• Date of Last Revision *
• Documentation *
• GitHub Repository link to code
• Link to applications or websites

• Professional Blogging Sites or Articles

  • Articles
    • Name
    • Abstract
    • Publication Date
    • URL or pdf
  • Blogs
    • Name
    • Publication Date
    • URL
• Resume’

• Professional Certfications and Awards

To see a video showing you how to fill in a brand new LinkedIn account with the required information, watch:  https://youtu.be/H3S-r3A-o1k  NOTE:  The example assumes you are using the account for school and displays the GitHub repository information in the About section.   If you are using the site for employment and professional contacts, it is better to put a link to your repository under Accomplishments and Projects (see previous video)
